Lynden Christian's baseball team exploded for nine runs in the second inning and cruised to a 15-1 win over La Conner in five innings on Monday, April 21, at LC.

Josh Heutink went 3 for 4 with a triple and five RBI in the game.

"I was real excited we just kept adding on," LC coach Desi Luna said in a phone interview. "That's what we preach. Once you get it going, you need to add on in this league."

Jordan Jansen pitched five innings, striking out three.

"He came out sharp today. He threw a lot of first pitch strikes," Luna said. "Josh Hornstra (behind the plate) called a fabulous game for him."
