WWU men's golf ahead by four at GNAC


Holding a four-shot lead heading into the final round, Western Washington University is looking to go seven-for-seven in team titles at the seventh annual Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship being held at the 6,803-yard Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.

The Vikings posted rounds of 296 and 290 for a 36-hole total of 586.

Northwest Nazarene is second at 590 (290-300), followed by Saint Martin's at 592 (297-295), Simon Fraser at 598 (305-293) and Montana State Billings at 605 (309-296).

WWU's Kyle Schrader is the medalist leader at 2-under par 140, leading after both rounds with scores of 71 and 69. Simon Fraser's Kevin Vigna is second at 142 (75-67), with the Vikings' Chris Hatch third at 144 (76-68).
