April 20, 2014

Jim and Helen Blaney Celebrate 70th Anniversary Jim and Helen (McClure) Blaney were married April 20, 1944, in Dearborn, Michigan, where both of their families lived. They will celebrate their 70th Anniversary with an Open House on April 27, 2014, 12:15 pm, at First Christian Church, 495 East Baker Road, Bellingham, Washington. Jim is proud to have served as a B-17 pilot in the 351st bombardier group based in Polebrook, England, in late 1944 and 1945; and Helen is an accomplished quilter and sewer. They lived sixty years near and in Altoona, Iowa, where they owned an insurance agency, Helen owned a fabric shop for thirty-three years, they were active in many organizations, and enjoyed many friendships. They have lived the past four years in Bellingham, Washington, where they have become part of their new community. Their four daughters Ruth, Donna, Carol and Gail invite you to celebrate this milestone either with your presence or with a card.
