Northwest Career & Technical Academy accepting applications for upcoming school year

High school students who are interested in getting a jump on a career path can apply to attend the Northwest Career & Technical Academy for the 2014-15 school year.

The academy offers tuition-free training for high school students, with 16 programs on four campuses in Whatcom and Skagit counties.

Students can earn high school and college credit and get training in such fields as welding, culinary arts and health-care careers. The academy is accepting applications for the upcoming school year and for this summer.
