Crash course on wedding dances offered at YWCA in Bellingham

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 19, 2014

Whether you're the bride and groom, in the wedding party, or simply a guest, this five-session class, starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, and running through May 21 at the YWCA Ballroom, 1026 N. Forest St., will prepare you to shine on the reception dance floor.

Instructors will cover the waltz, swing, and a simple slow-style that can be danced to any music, as well as leading/following basics. If you already have your wedding dance song, bring it on CD and Janice Shepherd will help you choose the right dance for the music. Partners recommended, but not required/guaranteed.

Class fee for one person is $75; couples rate is available. Register with Whatcom Community College Community Education at 360-383-3200.
