'Midsummer Night's Dream' brightens stage at WWU

Western Washington University's Department of Music, with the Department of Theater & Dance, presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Benjamin Britten's delightful spin on Shakespeare's classic comedy of romance and confusion, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, continuing at 7:30 p.m. April 25-26 and 2 p.m. April 27 at Western's Performing Arts Center Mainstage Theatre.

The music is colorful and engaging, and is supported by members of the WWU Symphony conducted by Roger Briggs. The production is directed by Amber Bone, with choreography by Penny Hutchinson, set designs by Dipak Gupta, and costumes by Katelynn Walker.
