Bellingham shoots season-best score at Lake Padden


Bellingham's Jenn Paul captured another medalist honor and led the girls' golf team to a first-place finish Wednesday, April 16, at Lake Padden Golf Course.

Paul shot a 79, and her teammate Maddi McNeely was second with an 87. Lynden's Emily Ming was third with an 88.

Bellingham won with a score of 497, followed by Sehome at 728. Lynden was third with 747 and Meridian took fourth at 783.

"We got solid rounds out of Alex (Ferrier) and Jaycie (Roth) that allowed us to shoot our best 18-hole score this season," Bellingham coach Brad McKay said in a phone interview.

Ferrier shot a 107 and Roth had a 115.

Hannah Peterson led the Mariners with a 113 at the 18-hole course.

Anna Ratzlaff was the Trojanss top golfer with a 131.
