Lyncs offense not enough against Burlington-Edison

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 16, 2014

Lynden Christian's baseball team had 13 hits, but couldn't keep up with Burlington-Edison and took a 9-6 Northwest Conference loss Wednesday, April 16, at home.

Austin Vander Haak was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI for the Lyncs. Tyson Cline went 1 for 1 with a double and an RBI.

"We came out and swung the bats really well at first, then kind of went to sleep," Lynden Christian coach Desi Luna said in a phone interview. "Jordan (Jansen) came out and pitched very well, his defense just let him down. Four or five of the runs were unearned."

Lynden Christian will look to bounce back at 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Anacortes.
