Expect heavy border traffic the next few days and a lot of Canadian visitors, as Canadians have a three-day or four-day holiday weekend, depending on where they work.

Good Friday is a holiday across Canada. Along with government offices and banks, many businesses are closed Friday, April 18.

Government offices and some businesses also will be closed Easter Monday, April 21. Most banks won't be closed Monday because by law they can't close four days in a row.

Many Canadians take advantage of their long weekend by traveling.

If you are heading to Canada, call ahead to make sure attractions or businesses you plan to visit will be open. For updates on border traffic, go to wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/border.
