Whatcom workshop on high-tech for middle school girls

Middle school aged girls can explore technology careers through hands-on lab experiments and listening to technology experts in a one-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Whatcom Community College's Syre Student Center, 237 W. Kellogg Road.

Each participating student is invited to bring a parent or guardian to observe the labs and to also participate in a session just for them to learn about the college application process and financial aid options.

The $10 fee includes a T-shirt and lunch.
