Pianist Jacqueline Schwab performs at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the YWCA Ballroom, 1026 N. Forest St.

Her inspirations are traditional music of England, Scotland, Ireland, and America, blues, vintage tangos, Bach's dance suites, nineteenth-century parlor piano, and the turn-of-the-twentieth-century sounds of Satie, Debussy and Bartok for starters. She also plays rousing music for contra dances with Bare Necessities, and performs and tours with Jean Redpath, Alasdair Fraser, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason. Her music is featured on multiple Ken Burns documentaries.

Admission is $15.
