Skagit Speedway kicks off its 60th season of sprint racing on Saturday, April 19, with its full slate of series.
The three-10th mile, high-banked clay oval along Old Highway 99 in Alger will once again host the 410 Sprints, 360 Sprints, Sportsman Sprints and Outlaw Tuner Classes as weekly series. Midgets, Modifieds, Street Stocks and PHRA Dwarf Cars also are scheduled to make visits to the speedway during the summer season, which will include races on almost every Saturday night between now and Sept. 13.
The summer will once again be highlighted by the Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup (June 26-28), the mid-season championships (July 5), the Bob's Burgers and Brew Summer Nationals (July 25-26) and a two-night visit from the World of Outlaws national touring series (Aug.29-30).
The grandstands open at 5:30 p.m. for regular events and 5 p.m. for special events, with racing scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Season tickets cost $390 for adults (18-61) and $270 for juniors (7-17), seniors (62 and older) and military. Single-night tickets cost $14 for adults and $9 for juniors, seniors and military, though prices do differ for special events.
