Ames' pitching carries Lynden to win


Lynden's Kody Ames struck out seven in a complete-game effort and the Lynden baseball team notched a 7-4 win over Burlington-Edison on Monday, April 14, at Burlington-Edison.

"Ames did a great job on the mound; he held his composure," Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. "We had just one error and that's something we've needed to cut down on. Our guys picked up Kody tonight."

Jordan Wittenberg was 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs for the Lions on offense.

Lynden takes on Anacortes at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at home.
