Anacortes girls' tennis rolls past Lynden


The Lynden girls' tennis team suffered a 6-1 Northwest Conference loss to Anacortes on Monday, April 14, at home.

The Lynden No. 1 doubles team of Alex Schulhauser and Kelsey Hewsen were the only winners for the Lions, beating Anacortes' Taylor Phillips and Jolie Jurkovich 7-5, 6-4.

"I'm proud of that first doubles team for pulling through and battling," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. "It was a good battle."
