Blues by Two - organist and vocalist John Carswell and drummer Jud Sherwood - perform a free concert from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Community Food Co-op's downtown Bellingham store, 1220 N. Forest St.

Blues by Two is a soulful groove machine of B-3 organist and blues vocalist John Carswell and drummer Jud Sherwood. They perform a free concert from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Community Food Co-op's downtown store, 1220 N. Forest St.

They began working together in 1998 and have been laying down the groove ever since. Carswell has played with blues and r&b legends B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, Tower of Power and Ray Charles.

Sherwood performs regularly throughout the Northwest with his own groups and is the founder of The Jazz Project. Details: 360-734-8158.
