Pan Pan is the piano-based project of Bellingham native Sarah Jerns, who performs an all-ages concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Firehouse Performing Arts Center, 1314 Harris Ave.
Since 2008, Pan Pan has strived to show the beauty that lives in the often less explored melancholy side of instrumental music. Drawing on a classical background, Pan Pan will perform original composition similar to the likes of Philip Glass, Yann Tiersen and Max Richer.
The concert will focus on the tagline "These are our stories, too," with a backing band consisting of cello, saxophone, viola, guitar, bass and drums.
Tickets are $10 through Brown Paper Tickets.
