Sport: Boys' Golf

Year: Junior

What he did: Red Raiders golfer Cody Roth is off to a strong start this spring. He shot a 73 to win medalist honors during his season's first match March 18, at Skagit County Golf and Country Club. Roth followed that impressive performance with a second win March 27, during the Birger Solberg Golf Tournament at the Bellingham Golf and County Club. Roth shot a 74, topping teammate Taylor Paul by one stroke.

School: Sehome

Sport: Girls' Tennis

Year: Sophomore

Position: Doubles

What she did: The Sehome girls' tennis team has put together an undefeated record to start the year, and sophomore Ali Morrow has been a large contributor to the Mariners' success. She has been one-half of Sehome's No. 3 doubles team that's dropped only one out of 49 games so far. Morrow also displayed her versatility by switching over to singles for a match, winning 6-0, 6-0.

Coach's quote: "Ali is a very determined tennis player. When she is on the court, she is dialed in. She can play singles or doubles for us. Ali is a smart player with the ability to quickly recognize her opponent's strengths and weaknesses and use them to her advantage." - Bonna Giller
