Mallory Kruzich played well on both sides of the ball in Sehome's softball team's 9-3 win over Anacortes in a Northwest Conference game Friday, April 11, at Daniels Field.
Kruzich pitched seven innings, striking out five to pick up her second win of the season.
"She pitched really well," Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview. "The whole crew was jazzed up after last night and it carried over well tonight. It was a big step for us."
Kruzich added three RBI at the plate including a two-out double in the first inning. Gabby Gorosave went 4 for 4 and Morgan Henry had an RBI.
"Gabby got eight hits in a row the last two games. She's on a good streak right now," Emerson said. "Her and Morgan have been carrying the load. Today they got some help from Mallory."
Sehome (2-6, NWC 2-1) faces Squalicum on Tuesday, April 15, at Frank Geri Field.
