Lyncs get 13 hits in win

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 11, 2014

Lynden Christian's baseball team held off Blaine to win 7-3 in a Northwest Conference game on Friday, April 11, at Pipeline Fields.

The Lyncs scored in the first but Blaine took the lead in the second with a two-run inning. Three straight innings of scoring for LC produced five runs and the Lyncs took command.

"All the credit to LC," Blaine coach Sean Linville said in a phone interview. "They came out and swung the bats. None of the hits were cheap. Every time they needed a hit they got one."

Grant Wolffis was credited with the win. Myles Peltier took the loss, pitching four innings.

"He didn't have much today, but LC was on everything. It was pretty impressive," Linville said.

Lynden Christian (2-7, NWC 1-1) plays Mount Baker on Monday, April 14, at Baker. Blaine (4-6, NWC 0-2) travels to take on Anacortes on Monday.
