Storm boys' soccer shuts out Meridian


Squalicum's boys' soccer team controlled every aspect of the game and earned a 4-0 win over Meridian on Thursday, April 10, at Civic Stadium. Trenton Langer and Owen Davis-Bower combined for the shutout in goal for the Storm.

Squalicum coach Joe McAuliffe credited his backline of Avery Wolfe, Hans Kogan, Chad Stevenson and B.J. James for their hard work in the shutout.

"James especially had a great game," McAuliffe said in a phone interview. "He worked both ends of the field really well."

Meridian goalkeeper Joe Worley had 14 saves. Quinn Carpenter, Arne Peterson, Zachary Wallace and B.J. Flood all netted a goal for the Storm.

Squalicum's next game is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Civic Stadium against Bellingham. Meridian plays Mount Baker at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at home.
