BELLINGHAM — Emergency 911 lines were knocked out for unclear reasons in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 10, in much of Western Washington.

If you have an emergency in Whatcom County, call 360-676-6911. (That's the regular non-emergency line for our dispatch center.)

Right now it's unknown how long the outage will last.

As I was writing this post, some 911 were starting to work.

KING 5 News reported the outage may have to do with CenturyLink service. The news station posted this list of backup 911 dispatch phone numbers for other affected counties.
