'Monsters!' at IDiOM with band, but no dialogue

Northwest Passage Theater Lab presents "Monsters!" a new show devised and performed by Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao, Ian Bivins, Chris Coombs, Shu-Ling Hergenhahn-Zhao, Tera Contezac, Jeff Braswell and Cass Murphy, Friday through Saturday, April 10-12, 2014 at iDiOM Theater, 1418 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham.

Northwest Passage Theater Lab presents "Monsters!" a new show devised and performed by Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao, Ian Bivins, Chris Coombs, Shu-Ling Hergenhahn-Zhao, Tera Contezac, Jeff Braswell and Cass Murphy, Friday through Saturday, April 10-12, at iDiOM Theater, 1418 Cornwall Ave.

Food and drink are included at a special after-show tea service. Proceeds benefit Northwest Passage Theater Lab and Northwest Passage Theater.

"Monsters!" features live music by Falling Up Stairs, and, according to Hergenhahn, "unprecedented destruction of pastries, horrible singing and dancing, vegetable throwing, and seven memorable monsters."

"Monsters!" - a play without dialogue - follows the story of a group of monsters who emerge from the walls to inhabit and explore the human world.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; show begins at 8. Tickets, $25, are at 360-201-5464 and idiomtheater.com.
