Pioneers stumble in loss to Sedro-Woolley

Despite generating some offense with seven hits, Nooksack Valley's softball team fell to Sedro-Woolley 11-2 on Wednesday, April 9, at Janicki Fields.

Melanie Brown was 2 for 4 for the Pioneers.

"The big thing was that we had opportunities to finish and didn't," Nooksack Valley coach Tom Harmon said in a phone interview. "We had opportunities to shut the door that don't show up in the scorebook and we missed it."

Lindsay Hayes had an RBI and a walk for Nooksack Valley.

Nooksack Valley hosts Blaine at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Nooksack Valley Middle School.
