Ferndale outplayed by Sedro-Woolley

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 8, 2014

Ferndale's boys' soccer team was outmatched against Sedro-Woolley, losing 4-0 on Tuesday, April 8, on the slick Sedro-Woolley High School turf.

"Sedro played a very good possession game today," Ferndale coach Scott Browne said in a phone interview. "We're young but each game gets us closer to where we want to be."

The Cubs scored three goals before the half and one goal after it, as they took 12 shots compared to Ferndale's five.

"We wanted to work on possession today and it didn't work out as expected," Browne said. "We had very few subs today so we couldn't try anything new."

Ferndale faces Sehome on Thursday, April 10, at home.
