Anacortes slips by Sehome

Sehome made a late push, but couldn't complete the comeback, falling 3-2 to Anacortes on Monday, April 7, at Sehome. The Mariners' Drew Lomsdalen was 1 for 1 with three walks and an RBI.

"They just weren't pitching to Drew," Sehome coach Gary Hatch said in a phone interview. "After he hit a single they pitched around him. He's our biggest offensive threat."

Josh Zavisubin took the loss, dropping his record to 1-1. He competed, but struggled with control in the early stages of the game, Hatch said.

"We're just leaving so many guys in scoring position," Hatch added. "The bottom of the order is just not picking us up."

Sehome looks to bounce back at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Lynden Christian.
