Blaine sputters versus Friday Harbor

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMarch 31, 2014

Blaine's baseball team couldn't get its offense going and took a 10-4 loss to Friday Harbor on Monday, March 31, at Friday Harbor.

"We just had one of those days in baseball," Blaine coach Sean Linville said in a phone interview. "Friday Harbor just came out and hit the ball all over the park. They jumped us right away."

Blaine got hits from Anthony Ball, Chris Doll and Jared Vogee. Vogee also scored a run for the Borderites.

"I've been happy with the way we've been swinging the bat. Their pitcher just had really good stuff," Linville said.

The Borderites look to bounce back at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, when Blaine hosts La Conner at Pipeline Fields for a doubleheader.
