Squalicum softball falls to La Conner

Squalicum's softball team suffered a 16-4 defeat in five innings to La Conner on Monday, March 31, at Squalicum. The Storm was done in by a combination of 10 walks and three hit by pitches.

The Storm were led by Erika Farmer's 3 for 3 hitting, including two RBI and a double. Dakota Littlefield was 1 for 2 with an RBI and a double.

"Dakota is powerful, it's just a matter of waiting," Squalicum coach Loran Zenonian said in a phone interview. "Offensively we came to battle and hit well. We weren't able to keep up with them. They were just able to eek out more walks."

Squalicum will look to bounce back at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Ferndale.
