Tyska leads Mountaineers to 4-1 win

Alex Tyska had a goal and two assists to lead Mount Baker's boys' soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Friday Harbor on Friday, March 28, at Friday Harbor. Manuel Mendez had five saves for the Mountaineers.

"We were a bit slow in the first 10 minutes," Mount Baker coach Jason Jorgensen said in a phone interview. "Good for Alex, he was our player of the game. It was good to see him get his feet under him and finish his chances."

Tyska scored the opening goal in the 32nd minute, assisted by Taylor Bruntil, and the duo reversed roles for the second goal in the 43rd minute. Tyska then assisted Casey McHugh on a goal in the 68th minute and Bruntil notched an unassisted goal for the double in the 76th minute.
