OAK HARBOR 13, SQUALICUM 8

Squalicum's softball team played well in a 13-8 loss to Oak Harbor on Thursday, March 27, at Oak Harbor High School.

"It was the best game of the year," Squalicum coach Loren Zenonian said in a phone interview. "I know the girls were excited."

Erika Farmer and Hailey Linville both had doubles in the game.

Samantha Sandoz took the loss on the mound, but Zenonian said it was her best game on the year. She moved to 0-4 on the year.

"She controlled the ball well, something she struggled with earlier in the year," Zenonian said.

Squalicum plays La Conner on Monday, March 31, at home.
