Heezen and Magnusson win two events apiece for Meridian

HEEZEN WINS TWO EVENTS

The Meridian and Ferndale boys' track and field teams were outclassed by Sedro-Woolley in the sprints but picked up several wins in the field events on Thursday, March 27, at Meridian High School. Meridian topped Ferndale 78-67 and lost to Sedro 85-60. Ferndale lost to Sedro-Woolley 91-54.

Meridian was led by Kaleb Heezen and Collin Magnusson, who both won two events. Magnusson won the 800-meter race and the 3,200-meter race. Heezen won the javelin and the shot put.

Meridian also got a win from Camden Burgess in the triple jump.

Ferndale got wins from Shane Stockton (discus), Roberto Aguilera (1,600 meter) and Donovan Campeau (pole vault).

Sedro-Woolley won the other nine events, mostly in the track events, including the 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter.
