LC girls have strong showing

LC GIRLS' HAVE STRONG SHOWING

Lynden Christian's girls' track team took home wins in 10 events on Thursday, March 27, at Anacortes High School in a meet against the Seahawks and Blaine.

Hannah Rusnak had the standout performance, winning the 100 (13.09 seconds), 100 hurdles (15.88) and long jump (16 feet, 10 inches) while also running a leg in the Lyncs' winning 4x100 relay team (52.57).

Hannah Wynstra brought home wins in the javelin (102-02) and discus (95-11), and Morgan Van Kooten won the shot put with a toss of 38-10.5.

Blaine got wins from Hillary Kiele, Kieya Villars and Lauren Kordas, with Kiele winning the 800 (2:31.00), Villars winning the 300 hurdles (51.34) and Kordas winning the pole vault (7-00).

Rounding out the day for Lynden Christian was Caitlyn Macy's win in the 400 (1:11.14). She also ran a leg in the winning 4x200 relay team (1:57.22).
