Bellingham's boys' soccer team opened its Northwest Conference campaign with a 3-0 win over Mount Baker on Monday, March 24, at Mount Baker High School.

Jack Lewis-Clark scored in the 21st minute to give the Red Raiders the lead and they never looked back.

"Bellingham moved the ball well," Baker coach Jason Jorgenson said in a phone interview. "They found opportunities and finished them."

Jorgenson was still pleased with his team's fight in the game, especially early in the season.

"It's the first time I played a full varsity squad this season, so it was good to get their feet under them," he said. "They came out slow and everyone's still getting on the same page."

Bellingham faces Lynden on Wednesday, March 26, at Civic Field. Baker plays Ferndale on Wednesday at home.
