Five to watch girls' golf

Bellingham, Sr.

Paul finished fourth with a score of 169 at the Class 2A state tournament last season, earning her third top-five finish in as many years. Her experience is big for Bellingham.

ETAANE NEUMANN

Squalicum, Sr.

Neumann was an honorable mention All-Whatcom County selection last season after a strong junior campaign. She finished just shy of advancing to state.

EMMA BROWN

Mount Baker, Sr.

Brown was an All-Whatcom County honorable mention selection last year after a strong junior campaign. Her contributions will go a long way in defining Baker's season.

ASHLYN MORGAN

Lynden, Sr.

Morgan is returning as one of the Lions' top golfers alongside fellow senior Emily Ming. Coach Scott Sahagian believes she will contend for a spot at the state tournament.

HANNAH PETERSON

Sehome, Jr.

Peterson returns as the team captain of the Mariners' girls' golf team, having valuable varsity experience from last year. Coach Don Helling said her game continues to progress
