Meeting offers information for Miss Lynden Rodeo Pageant


LYNDEN - Women interested in entering the Miss Lynden Rodeo Pageant can attend an informational meeting Thursday, March 27.

The meeting, which is mandatory for pageant contestants, will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday in Peoples Place at the Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center, 1775 Front St.

Contestants must be 18 to 23 years old and live in Whatcom or Skagit counties. The first meeting will include information about the pageant, prizes and responsibilities for the winner. A second meeting will take place at 7 p.m. April 8.

The Miss Lynden Rodeo Pageant will start at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Mt. Baker Rotary Building on the fairgrounds. The winner will visit schools, ride in parades and have a role in the Lynden PRCA Rodeo, which will take place Aug. 12 and 13 during the Northwest Washington Fair.
