Moore wins three events in Blaine meet


Elle Moore won three events but the Blaine girls' track and field team lost its season-opening meet 70-65 on Wednesday, March 19, at home.

Moore won the shot put (27 feet, 5 inches), the discus (96-07) and the javelin (77-10) for the Borderites.

Taylor V'Dovec won the high jump for Blaine with a jump of 5 feet, 0 inches and was part of the winning 4x100 relay team with a team time of 54.12 seconds.

Also part of that winning team was Olivia Adams, who also won the pole vault with a vault of 10-06.00, and Ashley Delligatti, who also won the 100 in a time of 14.27.

Other winners for Blaine were Grace Wilkowski in the 400 (1:19.27), Kieya Villars in the 300 hurdles (51.04), Bianca Rodriguez in the long jump (11-05.00) and Lauren Kordas in the triple jump (24-05.00).

The Borderites are at the at Bedlington Track Meet in Lynden on Friday, March 21.
