Chris Ortiz, president of Kaizen Assembly, recently launched an engineering firm in Whatcom County.

The company is called Solution Based Engineering and offers a variety of services, including computer aided design support, prototyping and new product development.

"The manufacturing division of Kaizen Assembly has grown to a point where I felt it was time to create another company to help grow it and be able to provide a higher level of engineering service to our customers," Ortiz said in a news release.
