Meridian rides hit parade to 14-0 win

Meridian's baseball team rolled to a 14-0 win over La Conner on Monday, March 17, at La Conner. The Trojans were keyed in on the Braves' pitching, rattling off 14 hits.

"We had kind of a lull in the middle innings, but we banged out 14 hits and were hitting well," Meridian coach Steve Slesk said in a phone interview. "We only walked four today and didn't make any errors. We've been working hard in practice on the everyday plays."

Thomas Utschinshi was the winning pitcher for Meridian. Dakota Jones was 2 for 3 with a double, and David Anderson went 2 for 3. Jake Plagerman was 2 for 4 and Joey Bell hit 1 for 1.

Meridian takes on Concrete at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Concrete.
