Happy with changes to student loans

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMarch 16, 2014

Student loans are ridiculous, at least the thought of them are. It is such a large amount of money given to young adults that have no guarantee to pay it back, yet they are expected to. Even if one were to declare bankruptcy, they are one of the most difficult pieces of debt to get rid of. I've been fortunate so far in my schooling to not need to take out any loans, but I see the effect it does have on close friends and I honestly dreaded the day I have to.

But not any more.

I am fairly impressed to see the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, which will hopefully fix some of the problems that have led to the rise of the current student loans bubble that I believe is set to burst like the housing market bubble did in 2007. Hopefully, this will work out better than the Affordable Care Act roll-out and implementation was.

For the first time that I can remember, the thought of student loans aren't as scary as they once were.
