What does your Whatcom County nonprofit or classroom need?

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMarch 12, 2014

Share your wishes and let us help make them come true.

We again plan to share nonprofit agency and classroom needs with Bellingham Herald readers in a special Wish Book section on April 14, 2014. The first 100 agencies completing our online form by March 17, 2014, will have the opportunity to link up with potential donors for three specific wishes.

Your wishes will be printed along with information about your organization and how you may be contacted.

The more specific your request, the better chance of having it fulfilled. Wishes should be for specific volunteer labor, cash donations or supply purchases. Include costs where possible and specific use of cash donations. Here are some examples of wishes:

-- 30 boxes of crayons for kindergarten art projects.

-- Adult volunteer Tuesday and Thursday 6-9 p.m. for literacy tutoring.

-- $500 to pay for bus for science class field trip to Seattle zoo.

For the form, go to bellinghamherald.com and click on the 2014 Wish Book box.

Bellingham Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
