Whatcom Women in Business offering up to $20,000 in scholarships

Whatcom Women in Business is offering up to $20,000 in scholarships to women who are furthering their education.

Scholarships will be awarded to candidates based on a variety of factors, including professional goals, grade-point average, personal achievements and community service. In 2013 the group gave $24,000 in scholarships, according to a news release from the organization.

The deadline for submitting an application is Thursday, May 1. Application forms can be found at wwib.org.

Whatcom Women n Business is a nonprofit organization consisting of business owners, managers and professionals who provide a positive role model for the community through leadership and professional mentoring.
