HUNTING: Pheasants Forever to hold annual banquet

The South Sound chapter of Pheasants Forever will hold its 16th annual fundraising banquet March 22.

Proceeds from the event help fund events including a trap shoot and released pheasant hunt for youths at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Last year, the chapter also did a mentoring program at Scatter Creek for the youth release weekend.

This is a family event, and children are welcome. Organizers will have a special prize table for children in attendance, as well as one for women.

A social hour and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6:30 and a live auction at 7:30.

The event will be at Fircrest Golf Club, 1500 Regents Blvd., Fircrest.

The cost is $70 for a single dinner and membership; $105 per couple for dinner and membership; and $15 for children 10 and younger for dinner and membership in Ringneck. All youths 15 and younger will be given a free Ringneck membership by the chapter.
