Asks minimum wage increase

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMarch 2, 2014

I'm tired and disgusted at witnessing my friends and co-workers being exploited as wage-slaves, while the rich become more gluttonous. Have you seen the long lines at the Food Bank? They're getting longer. Many of those people have jobs. Minimum wage in this state, as in most other states, is a poverty wage, so is it any wonder that the disparity between rich and poor in this nation has never been greater? It's time to start a $15 per hour minimum wage campaign for Bellingham. The cost of living in Seattle is not grossly higher than here, with that gap narrowing all the time.
