"Oklahoma!" comes to Bellingham High stage

Bellingham High School presents "Oklahoma!" the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic musical, at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 6-8, continuing March 13-15, with 2 p.m. matinees March 9 and 16, 2014 at the school’s Performing Arts Center, 2020 Cornwall Ave.

Bellingham High School presents "Oklahoma!" the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic musical, at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 6-8, continuing March 13-15, with 2 p.m. matinees March 9 and 16 at the school's Performing Arts Center, 2020 Cornwall Ave.

The production features students from Bellingham, Squalicum and Sehome high schools.

Nick Strobel conducts a large student pit orchestra, and the student crew is handling all the technical aspects of the production.

Teri Grimes directs the play. Steve Barnes and Linda Short are musical directors, and senior Kelsey McHugh is choreographing the entire production for her senior project.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the door before shows or in advance at the school and at Village Books.
