All Whatcom County schools open Wednesday

After a couple of snow days for many students, classes will be back in session Wednesday, Feb. 26, for students in Whatcom County's public schools.

Here's a rundown of the school districts:

Bellingham: Schools will start on time. Wednesday is an early dismissal at 1:15 p.m. for elementary schools only. Buses wil be on regular routes with two exceptions - no service to Emerald Lake and Woodbine Way. See bellinghamschools.org for details.

Blaine: Schools will start on time.

Ferndale: Schools will start two hours late.

Lummi: School will start two hours late.

Lynden: Schools will start on time.

Meridian: Schools will start on time.

Mount Baker: Schools will start on time. Buses are on snow routes except for Harmony Elementary, which is on regular routes.

Nooksack Valley: Schools are open and will follow the regular scheduled late arrival/early release.

The local colleges had not posted any notices of delay or closure Wednesday, except Northwest Indian College, which is starting two hours late.
