Mechanical problems halt Lummi Island ferry

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDFebruary 25, 2014

LUMMI ISLAND - The Whatcom Chief that provides ferry service to Lummi Island was out of service Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25, because of mechanical problems.

Whatcom County Public Works, which runs the ferry service between the island and Gooseberry Point, was assessing the situation. Workers did not have an immediate idea of how long the ferry would be out of service.
