Elizabeth Antonio has joined the staff as marine educator at the South Sound Estuarium in Olympia.

A 2010 graduate of The Evergreen State College, she is the former program coordinator, shipboard educator and deckhand of the schooner Adventuress. She also worked as the lead teacher at Mariah Art School in Olympia.

“She brings a variety of knowledge and enthusiasm for environmental education for youth and all that are excited to learn more about our marine and estuary environments,” said Diana Larsen-Mills, acting executive director for the South Sound Estuary Association.

Antonio will be on hand when the estuarium is open, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. weekends. The marine education center is located at 608 Washington St. NE, Olympia.
