SEATTLE: Get ready for season at two-day bicycle expo

The 17th annual Seattle Bicycle Expo will attract close to 200 vendors and other exhibitors for its two-day show this weekend.

Taking advantage of the Smith Cove cruise ship terminal’s 135,000 square feet on two floors of space, the show will include regional bike shops, event producers and manufacturers showing off the latest bikes, gear, fitness plans and travel opportunities.

There also will be presentations, panel discussions and demonstrations by experts. There will be a kids’ zone with a treasure hunt and riding course, bicycle acrobats and authors.

The expo will run from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 2.

Adult tickets are $10 for a single-day pass and $12 for a two-day pass. Children 15 and younger get in free. Cash only at the door.

It will take place at the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal 91, 2001 W. Garfield St., Seattle.
