"Under the Inspiration Tree," Bellingham artist Thomas Wood's exhibit at Lucia Douglas Gallery, 1415 13th St., is a collection of imaginary landscapes filled with fantastic creatures and curious plants emerging in an abundance of color and form. The exhibit runs through March 22, an opens with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014.

"Under the Inspiration Tree," Bellingham artist Thomas Wood's exhibit at Lucia Douglas Gallery, 1415 13th St., is a collection of imaginary landscapes filled with fantastic creatures and curious plants emerging in an abundance of color and form.

The paintings and prints express a unified vision drawn from his past intaglio prints, drawings in dream notebooks, and sketches of birds, bugs, flowers, trees and people.
