PeaceHealth event in Bow to teach about heart health

BOW - People can learn how to care for their hearts during a Friday, Feb. 28, luncheon at the Skagit Valley Casino and Resort.

The Cardiovascular Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center is presenting the 14th annual "Heart to Heart" event in collaboration with United General Hospital.

It will begin around noon, with doors opening at 11 a.m.

The keynote speaker will be Susan Levy, a healthy living expert and blogger who will present "Your Well-Fed Journey: Stories from the Trail."

The program also will feature PeaceHealth cardiologists M. Cristy Smith and Elisa Zaragoza.

The cost, including a salmon lunch, is $10. To register, call 360-856-7245 before Monday, Feb. 24.

The event is being held during national Heart Health Month.
