Upcoming web presentation focuses on Washington business taxes

Here's a news release from DOR about upcoming presentation on reporting business taxes:

 

OLYMPIA – Feb. 14, 2014 – Business owners in Washington have many responsibilities, including knowing which taxes they must report. To help reach more businesses statewide, the Washington State Department of Revenue will host on Wednesday, March 12 a free live webinar for new and small business owners.

This is the first time Revenue has done a business outreach session online. 

“We’ve offered in-person workshops for a number of years, and offering online webinars will make it easier for small businesses to fit a workshop into their busy schedules,” Revenue Director Carol K. Nelson said.

Date: Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Time: 10 – 11 a.m.

Registration: To register, visit www.dor.wa.gov/webinar and provide the following:

Your name, Company name, Phone numbe,  Email address

Space is limited, and the deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 28.

Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. The webinar facilitator will answer specific questions related to your business at the end of the webinar.

The Revenue website at www.dor.wa.gov/Workshops offers a complete schedule of in-person business workshops held around the state and short video versions of the workshops.
